It's in pretty incredible condition and a great deal if you're looking for a new orchestral tenor. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eThe rose brass bell and hand slide push the sound somewhere warmer and darker — there's more weight in the middle of the tone, the edges are a little softer. The nickel silver crook adds just enough brightness to keep things focused without undoing what the rose brass is doing elsewhere. It's a good balance - I'd have no problem playing this in a brass band or wind band, it works in either ensembles. The red brass probably gets a little screamy for orchestra, but maybe it works in that context too. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eThe Rotax valve is solid and reliable, and this horn has barely been played. The slide is pristine, the lacquer is clean, and it plays like new.
