Yamaha YSL871 Custom alto trombone
Are you considering taking up alto trombone playing and want to ensure you don’t end up with subpar gear that you’ll regret as you advance in skill? Well, I’ve got something for you!
The YSL871 Custom alto was first introduced in 1982 and was in production for several years during the eighties. Yamaha recently reintroduced a similar alto trombone with the same model number, potentially causing confusion. However, the one I’m offering is definitely from the older series, recognized for its ease of play. Switching from tenor to this one is relatively straightforward!
It features a 0.470-0.490 dual-bore yellow brass slide and a one-piece yellow brass bell. The instrument is in excellent condition, with the lacquer starting to develop some patina, giving it a distinctive look that some might even find better than new!

Q: Do you ship internationally?
Of course! All my prices include international shipping.
Q: How do I pay?
My preferred way of payment is a good old bank transfer. But I also accept PayPal, Venmo, Zelle etc.
Q: Can I pay with my credit card?
Yes. I can set that up for you.
Q: Can I pay in installments?
Yes. We can work something out.
Q: Do you ship with a case?
Most often times not. Shipping without a case is safer and cheaper. But if you need a case, I can see if I have a suitable case for your trombone.
