Laskey Marshall Gilkes Signature 53MG Trombone Mouthpiece
Developed together with the incredible jazz trombonist Marshall Gilkes, this mouthpiece was built to do it all — from warm, full pedal tones to brilliant high notes. It feels stable and open in every register, giving you a strong core and a beautiful sound whether you’re leading a big band, playing chamber music, or sitting in the orchestra.
The 53MG is made on a custom blank designed just for this model. Marshall and the Laskey team spent months fine-tuning every detail to get the perfect balance of tone, comfort, flexibility, and response. The result is a mouthpiece that simply feels right — whatever style you play.
If you’re a classical player moving between large and small bore trombones, the mid-deep cup and comfortable rim make that transition smooth and natural.
