Throja trombones is one of the big players in the german trombone market. In 2006 Thomas Robert Jahn (THROJA), started working on a series of german trombones of the highest levels. Nowadays trombonists all over the world trust Throja when looking for a high class german trombone. The Throja Weite 3 is aimed at the "Wechselposaunist" - a player changing from tenor to bass trombone and back. But it can easily also be used on first trombone as the excellent Olaf Ott of the Berlin Philharmonic does. This one has a 0.522 / 0.547 dual bore slide of nickel silver and a gold brass slide crook - it still takes a large shank mouthpiece also with the smaller bore of the upper slide. The bell is a 9 inch gold brass bell with a 3 inch Kranz and a gold brass tuning slide. The valve looks really small but let me assure you, it doesn't play small at all! This Throja trombone is in excellent condition! The initial owner purchased it in 2016, and it is evident that they took exceptional care of it – no scratches, no dents, nothing. As for the sound, it is truly an exceptional experience! It plays effortlessly with a round, warm tone across the entire register. Unlike some other German instruments, the partials on this trombone align easily, reminiscent of American trombones, making the transition smooth. Comes with a nice Marcus Bonna Bag.

Most often times not. Shipping without a case is safer and cheaper. But if you need a case, I can see if I have a suitable case for your trombone.
